Shloime Kaufman's Avodos Tzedakah album will be in stores later this week, possibly as early as Thursday afternoon. The CD will be available on MostlyMusic.com, and features Dovid Gabay, Baruch Levine, Abie Rotenberg, Michoel Pruzansky, A.K.A. Pella, Sholom Jacobs and contains songs composed by Yitzy Waldner and Baruch Levine. The CD is presented by and proceeds will go to A T.I.M.E.

Meydad Tasa's album Avodas Tzedakah is one of my most favourite recordings recently being played on my stereos.
The only pity is the application of Auto Tune effects to his voice in the production, which I assume was done in order to achieve a special sound (currently in fashion). I think that Meydad's vocal capabilities do not require any such technical correction at all. He is a very talented and gifted singer and his recordings might sound even better, without his voice being processed by technical effects (except for standards like reverb of course).
Thumbs up for for this young artist. I give four out of five stars for this CD album (not the full score because of the voice processing). (Posted on 1/5/11)
