From the opening notes of Showstoppers it is obvious that this is going to be Broadway done right.
There's just the right blend of the old and new both in the selection of material and production style. Dudu's voice is warm, rich, soothing, and rides the percussive waves of songs like Maria and Any Dream Will Do like an accomplished musical surfer! Mr. Fisher's voice soars on classics like The Impossible Dream, Man of La Mancha, Memory, and I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miz - a show that I too am an alumni of, although I didn't have the pleasure of sharing the stage with "Dudu". There's always the revival! I loved being introduced to material I was not familiar with like Beat out Dat Rhythm on a Drum and Song of the Sand as well as hearing songs like Empty Chairs and Empty Tables revisited. Enjoy taking this memorable musical journey of showstoppers!
