- This collection of the great Chazan's, Yossele Rosenblatt's, renditions of prayers and piyutim for S'lichos and the Yomim Noraim, have been lovingly restored in excellent sound. This 2 cd set is highly recommended, and should provide enlightenment to all as to how a true emuna, conjoined with proper training as a chazan, is central to the rendition of the tefillos from the Amud. Just as the Jewish prayer services are linked to the services in the Bais Hamikdash, so is the chazan the equivalent of the Kohen Gadol, in linking us to the near presence of Hashem Yisborach. The times call for a monograph on the importance of a proper chazan to Jewish prayer as outlined in Siman 53 of the Shulchan Oruch. (Posted on 9/15/11)
