Nachum Ish Gamzu, a great Talmudic sage who lived in the third generation of the Mishnaic period, was sent by the Jews of the Land of Israel for a very important task. He had to nullify an evil edict hanging over their heads by transporting a chest filled with precious treasure to the Roman Emperor.
Nachum departs for his long journey, stopping for the night at an inn along the way. In the middle of the night, the treasures are stolen from the chest, and when Nachum arrives at the Emperor's palace, all he has is a chest filled with sand. How will the Emperor react? What will happen to Nachum?
