His father, Cantor David Werdyger, is the world’s foremost interpreter of the famous music of Ger, Poland’s largest Chassidic center. Cantor Werdyger was an authentic wunderkind, of pre-war Europe. His son is an American original, blending timeless religious motifs with today’s sound. In the past few years, Mordechai has become one of our foremost singers. He has performed before thousands throughout the United States and abroad. After the Yom Kippur War, he was invited to entertain the Israeli troops.
