Can I transfer the music I download to a portable player?

 Yes, you can as long as the player is able to play MP3 files. Please refer to the documentation that came with your player to determine if it is compatible with MP3 format music. 

Can I play music from Music Downloads on my Macintosh?

Yes, Music Downloads from Mostly Music.com are compatible with Macintosh computers. They are in mp3 format.

How much hard drive disk space do I need?

 Each song you download will occupy 4 to 6 MB of disk space (this is a small amount). Your disk space requirements depend on the number of songs you want to add to your music library. To find out how much disk space you have, double-click on the "My Computer" icon and then right-click on the hard disk drive, where you will store your music, and view "Properties." 

How long does it take to download a song?

 To download an average song (4-6 MB) takes:
Broadband (T1, DSL, ISDN, cable modem): under 1 minute
56 Kbps modem: 15-20 minutes
Actual download time varies, depending on the length of the song, your system configuration, site traffic and network traffic. 

Do I need a high-speed Internet connection to download music?

 We recommend that you have a high-speed Internet connection, but it is not required to download music.

What file format do Music Downloads come in?

 Music Downloads from Mostly Music.com were encoded at a minimum of 128-bit MP3 files or higher.

What are the system requirements for using Music Downloads at Mo

 1. A Windows PC or Mac
Most computers manufactured in the last few years will easily meet the minimum system requirements. If you have an older computer, here's what you need:
233 MHz or higher processor (most computers meet this requirement)
At least 64 MB of RAM
A sound card
Speakers or headphones (if you want to play music on your computer)
An Internet connection
If you're not sure about your computer, open the Control Panel and click on the icon for "System" (for Windows XP, you will find this in the "classic view"). A window will open that displays your computer's system profile, including processor speed, RAM and other information.
