One need only to think of Cantorial art during the 20th century and immediately the name of Yossele Rosenblatt comes to mind. No other cantor dominated cantorial music for such an extended period. More than seventy years after his death, Rosenblatt is acknowledged as the master without peer.
The selections presented here were recorded in the United States and Europe between 1907 and 1931 - before the advent of the present day standard of sound recording. They have been redigitalized, declicked, enhanced and remastered with the most up to date engineering equipment available.
Together they create a unique historical document and a glorious heritage of Jewish liturgical music.
